Hr Trends In Service Sector

The service industry is dominating the world economy since the mid-90s.
After globalization, both the developed and the emerging economies have
witnessed a major growth in terms of service sector factor enhancement,
which is still continuing. It is well-forecasted that, in future, the service sector
is going to play a pivotal role in the process of development. Globalization
has led to the introduction of new concepts in Human Resource (HR), which
focus particularly on the role of HR in service sector. Such a focus has
changed the HR market significantly, as imparting quality service is not
possible without the positive role of HR. Increasing competition across the
globe, price cuts and pressure for creating value-added service, have
increased the demand for economic restructuring. This has put a lot of
pressure on the HR across different industries. HR managers have to
strategically reorient them to be successful, as they are facing new challenges
from the world market. The modern HR managers are required to take care
of too many things, like teamwork, leadership quality, effective communication
skills, strategic planning, loyalty to the clients and most importantly, handling
all these jobs with self confidence. Hence, it is clear that HR people are
going to play a very important role in organizations particularly in the
service industry.
